Terms of Service

By accessing, browsing, or using VaultMeet ("the Platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and VaultMeet ("we," "us," or "our").

To use VaultMeet, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• Not have been previously suspended or removed from the Platform.

If you are using VaultMeet on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

To access certain features, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Maintain and promptly update your account information.
• Keep your password secure and confidential.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or provide inaccurate information.

VaultMeet grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for its intended purposes, subject to these Terms.

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not:

• Use the Platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) without our prior written consent.
• Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the Platform.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.

You may submit, upload, or create content on VaultMeet ("User Content"), including but not limited to project submissions, code, messages, profiles, and event descriptions.

By submitting User Content, you:

• Retain ownership of your original content.
• Grant VaultMeet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.
• Represent that you have all necessary rights to submit such content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
• Acknowledge that User Content shared during events may be visible to other participants and organisers.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.

VaultMeet enables users to host and participate in virtual events and hackathons. The following terms apply:

For Participants

• You agree to abide by the rules and guidelines set by event organisers.
• Submissions must be original work or properly attributed.
• Collaboration is encouraged but must comply with event-specific rules.
• VaultMeet is not responsible for prizes or rewards offered by third-party organisers.

For Organisers

• You are responsible for clearly communicating event rules, judging criteria, and prize details.
• You must fulfil any prizes or commitments advertised for your event.
• You agree not to use the Platform to host events that promote illegal activity, hate speech, or harassment.
• VaultMeet may feature, promote, or moderate events at its discretion.

All content, features, and functionality of the VaultMeet Platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and the virtual environment — are the exclusive property of VaultMeet or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
• Use VaultMeet trademarks, logos, or branding without authorisation.
• Create derivative works based on the Platform's proprietary technology.

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

• Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation of other users.
• Posting or transmitting spam, malware, or harmful code.
• Impersonating another person or entity.
• Sharing illegal, defamatory, obscene, or infringing content.
• Attempting to exploit, hack, or compromise the Platform's security.
• Using the Platform for commercial solicitation without authorisation.
• Circumventing any access controls, rate limits, or technical restrictions.
• Collecting or harvesting user data without consent.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension or termination and may be reported to law enforcement where applicable.

We may suspend or terminate your access to VaultMeet at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms.
• Conduct that is harmful to other users or the Platform.
• Extended period of account inactivity.
• Request by law enforcement or government authorities.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, though certain provisions of these Terms will survive termination.

We do not guarantee that:

• The Platform will be error-free or uninterrupted.
• Any defects will be corrected.
• The Platform is free of viruses or harmful components.
• The results obtained from using the Platform will be accurate or reliable.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VaultMeet and its directors, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
• Cost of substitute services.
• Damages resulting from unauthorised access to your account.
• Any matter beyond our reasonable control.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to VaultMeet in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹5,000 (INR), whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VaultMeet and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party rights.
• Any User Content you submit.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at founder@vaultmeet.in.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
• Notify registered users via email for significant changes.
• Post a notice on the Platform.

Continued use of VaultMeet after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
